The homeowners had recently moved in and were determined to make the house their own. One of their key projects was transforming their staircase, which featured dated white spindles, into a modern statement piece. Upgrading the Foundation with Refined Newel Posts
To create a more striking and cohesive look, I replaced the original 90mm newel posts with larger 120mm posts at the staircase base. The smaller posts seemed lost in the space, but the larger ones give the staircase a refined and substantial presence—perfect for a modern home.
Sleek and Contemporary with Glass Panels
The finishing touch was adding 10mm toughened glass panels, mounted on polished chrome brackets. These panels completely transformed the look, infusing the staircase with a sleek and contemporary vibe. While I’ve yet to see it fully finished with the carpet installed, I can already picture how stunning the final result will be.
